I’ve got to admit I haven’t seen a Christmas message quite like this. I love the part about clean water. So I had to share it.

So for every $45.00 you spend on Christmas, spend $1.00 on clean water. here, here, or here.

What a great way to celebrate the birth of Christ.

  1. Thanks for sharing this.

Something I learned last year that relates is that with the push for drilling wells on the African continent, the water table is pushed lower.

With the deep, long life wells many churches and humanitarian organizations are paying for over there, the normal wells used by many of those who are listed as having clean water are running dry.

Just another example of the law of unintended consequences I suppose.

Not to say that this video does not promote and encourage an excellent idea, but to make sure that we are aware that our actions may require deeper and longer thought. And we’ll probably need to help those who already have water but only have shallow wells which we may have helped to dry out.

Keep up the good work and thanks for posting this.

Yes, we should be concerned about water levels. But, that is not a reason to stop drilling sink holes and wells. The water is there and the people need it.

I don’t keep food in my pantry and not eat it for fear that it will be gone. I eat it and make sure that there is more food later.

Water is a renewable resource. It’s just a matter of getting it to the people who need it.
